Hello, my name is Leslie Dye, founder of LESLIEDYESIGN's and LRD Photography. I am a self-taught freelance photographer, writer, and artist. Born in Lancaster, Ohio and relocated to Grand Prairie, Texas at the age of 3. I fell in love with photography at the age of 15 when I received my first camera as a prize gift.

Years went by and I met my husband. To my surprise, he was born in Bowling Green, Ohio. On our honeymoon my husband and I came to Ohio as part of our cross country honeymoon trip and we absolutely loved the atmosphere and climate. So we decided to pack up our family and move to Ohio in 2012.

I purchased a Canon T2i camera and began to teach myself everything I could about the camera and how it worked. I then taught myself about digital editing and composite. Photography to me is like breathing, it is where I can relax and set my mind free. That is when I realized my talent in photography and ventured to pursue a career in it. I shoot portrait, landscape, animal, and lifestyle photography.

I have placed 1st in the Ohio State Fair competition and numerous other ribbons for local photography competitions. I show my work in local shows and galleries with the Mount Pleasant Photography Club in Lancaster. My goal is to reach out to people and teach lessons of hope and love for life through my art. I have recently started to sell my art at local markets. I am currently working on a children's book, that will be fun for both children and adults. I want my books to be educational and teach about life lessons
